We believe that everyone is an agent of positive change. Here are some of the issues that we feel very passionately about:

  • Health: real, long lasting, pill-free, glowing health, devoid of lobby groups (cough Monsanto cough).
  • Green everything: technologies, business practices, and lifestyle choices.
  • Ethics: this is quite important. This dictates our business culture at House of Verona, in business and personal relationships. Fair prices, fair trade, transparency, and karma.
  • Reading between the lines: the constant pursuit of truth, and searching for the hidden agenda in everything.
  • Education, education, education.
  • Frugal consumerism: minimizing unnecessary consumption and waste, and consciously redirecting excess savings into meaningful causes. Other than what Britney ate for breakfast.

Philanthropy

greenpeaceWe are so proud to donate a portion of our funds towards Greenpeace, as well as Street Haven at the Crossroads, which is Toronto’s first women’s shelter (est. 1965). We volunteer at Street Haven on a monthly basis.
